Progress

Sam is not scared of the Moose at all. It's taken a long time to get to this point.
We went to "Girls Night Out" at the Mariners on Saturday with the Harvey family, and it turned
out to be quite eventful. I got a pink Mariners reusable grocery bag (the giveaway, only for women). The people right in front of us won the "rally fries", a crazy Mariners tradition. They had brought 3 huge signs and about 20 placards, each with an 8 X 10 photo of Lindsay, the rally
fry girl. In the 9th inning, the Moose visited our section and danced with the kids. And, Elizabeth, Andrew and Brett danced to the song "Dancing Queens", trying to get on the big screen. Elizabeth wanted the boys to take their shirts off because she thought they would have a better chance, but that idea was nixed by the parents.
And, there was a baseball game played amongst all of the festivities. There were seven home runs hit, I think, and the Mariners beat the Royals 8-4.

Bellingham and Idaho

Our summer travels have continued with the boys in Idaho visiting Grandma and their cousins last week, and Alan and I stealing a couple of days in Bellingham between "Ring" operas. The boys swam, caught fish, collected "treasure" from the woods and generally had a fabulous time. Alan and I rode our bikes around the Bellingham waterfront and had a great visit with our friends Becky and Dan. The photo above shows part of the Bellingham marina with our hotel in the background.
