San Diego Zoo

We traveled to San Diego on Sunday to move into our downtown hotel and get ready for Monday's baseball game. We spent Sunday afternoon at the zoo, a huge and wonderful place to explore. We were all a little worn out and sunburned from Legoland, so we didn't see everything the zoo had to offer. But, we hit the big attractions - polar bears, pandas (including a very cute 8 month old), monkeys and reptiles.

Padres opening day

We all played hooky from school/work on Monday to stay in SD an extra day for the Padres home opener. It was a beautiful day, and we loved the ballpark. Free t-shirts, fish tacos, Ghiradelli sundaes and the home team won in a blowout....what could be better?

Legotopia

Beach Boys

We're really enjoying our long weekend in the San Diego area. We spent most of the first day at the beach in Carlsbad. We met up with the Harvey's who were heading back to Seattle, but had time for brunch and a walk on the beach.

District Battle

Tonight was the district "Battle of the Books" and it was epic! It came down to double-sudden-death-overtime between Star Lake Elementary and Lake Doloff Elementary and ended with a first place tie. The Meredith Hill team did great and had fun but didn't place in the top 3. Here they are with their teacher - Nadia, Ke'von, Ms. Carson, Evan and Andrew - the Cryptid Readers.

Cute Shirts, Boys Goofing Off

The boys weren't in the mood for pictures this Easter, but Sam and I did manage to make some nice dyed eggs.
